The Roam public transit bus system offers Canada's first all-hybrid bio-diesel/electric bus fleet. The bus routes cover the whole townsite, and there are bus stops near just about any spot you want to get to.

Fare Boxes on Roam buses
Fare boxes on Roam buses accept US and Canadian currency as small as a nickel, and up to $20. Pennies are not accepted. are boxes can't provide change, so exact change is preferred. If necessary, the fare box will produce a change voucher that you can redeem at Banff Town Hall and a number of other downtown locations.
Transfers
Transfers are free between routes and valid for one hour after purchase. Your receipt will be required to transfer to the next bus.
