Tightline Adventures is a fly fishing guide service that offers single and multi-day fly fishing trips in Banff and throughout southern Alberta.
Upper Bow River Flyfishing Trip

This section of the Bow river boasts a fair amount of brown trout, and is home to a variety of other fish, including cutthroat, bull, and brook trout. This trip, which is specifically tailored to the Bow River, is our sole drift boat trip in the waters above Calgary.

Cost: One client - $500/person • Two clients - $280/person •
Spring Special (May 15th - June 15th) - $375

Lower Bow River Flyfishing Trip

The Lower Bow River is rated as one one of thefinest trophy waters in the north America with all wild fish! Clients will have the opportunity to fish from the boat, but we will also make frequent stops to get out and wade prime fishing holes.

Cost: $600/person

Walk & Wade Bow River Flyfishing Trip

Tightline Adventures’ Walk & Wade trips take place on a variety of waters, including the Bow River, as well as various lakes and ponds in the immediate area. The Walk & Wade trip, is a unique combination of some very light hiking and a day of glorious fly-fishing.

Duration: 4-6 hours fishing time

Cost: One client - $380/person • Two clients - $225/person •
Three clients - $200/person • Four clients - $175/person

Remote Walk & Wade Flyfishing Trip

This remote walk and wade trip differs slightly from local Walk & Wade, because each takes place at a different location. Consisting of remote day trips on the Old Man, Crowsnest, Livingstone, or Highwood Rivers.

Duration: 8-10 hours

Cost: One client - $525/person • Two clients - $280/person •
Three clients - $200/person

Bow River Flyfishing School/Tour

The 'Tour School' starts on 'dry land' where the student will learn: how to cast a flyrod, what the equipment is all about, anatomy of a trout stream, how to read the water(locate fish).

Duration: 6 hours (first 90 to 120 minutes being teaching time)

Cost: $160/person (minimum of 4 clients required)

Steelhead Fishing on the Babine River

This Class One Special Fishery river is world reknowned for not only its record breaking steelhead but also it pristine wilderness experience. You are shuttled around to all of the best runs and lies on approximately 15 miles of the upper babine by jet boat.

Duration: 6.5 days (Thursday to Wednesday)

Maximum of twelve guests
